Beautiful Handcrafted Mbiras (M beer rah) made in America from homegrown gourds and a variety of hardwood tops.  Wonderful woods like cherry,  canary, and mahogony. These mbiras feature two rows of keys tuned an  octave apart,  in pentatonic or major scales  C  D  G  The lowest note is in the center. To walk up the scale the thumbs alternate left-right, left-right etc. The instrument is most commonly played with thumbs, but fingers can be used as well to create a variety of sounds. To care for the instrument keep it dry and protected from long exposure to hot sun.
